Dewey’s 24hr Readathon April 2022: Midway Survey

Alright, it is hour 12 of the 24 hour readathon! I am getting tired, it is nearly 2 am, and I am an old who likes sleep!
So I am going to make this post, have my tea, brush my teeth, and get in bed with my next book and sleep for a few hours. I need to make sure I can get some reading in tomorrow before my life will turn into just twitter for three hours!

Mid-Event Survey!

What are you reading right now?

I’m about to start Jennifer Worth’s “Call the Midwife”.

How many books have you read so far?

Two! Haruki Murakami’s “The Strange Library” and Pixie Turner’s “The No Need to Diet Book: Become a Diet Rebel and Make Friends with Food”. Amazing!
All I can say now – my brain is a fried.

What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the readathon?

Call the Midwife, I crave story right now.

Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?

Mostly just by the cats. They were great, none complaints, 10/10, would get too aggressively kneaded again.
And I went on a short run followed by a store-run where I got us some doughnuts! I thought I’d listen to an audio-book, but I was still working on a book, so I opted for a podcast instead. (Pop Culture Happy Hour from NPR)

What surprises you most about the readathon, so far?

Nothing much, anymore. I’ve been around a long while!
Maybe the fact I’m actually making sure I add my read books to the readathon’s read book database as I go! Or that I’m not updating my blog as much as I used to, and instead just..read and cuddle with partner and cats and snack.
